2025. 06. 19

- As part of its social responsibility efforts, Hankook Tire Italy donated high-performance tyres for some of the vehicles utilised by the Italian Red Cross in its emergency, rescue and medical transport operations.
- Through this donation, Hankook reaffirms its dedication to sustainable and inclusive development.

Sesto San Giovanni, 18 June 2025 – The tyres that Hankook Tire Italia has donated to the Italian Red Cross support their emergency, rescue and medical transport vehicles. The initiative is part of Hankook’s broader CSR framework which focuses on promoting solidarity, improving mobility and supporting frontline humanitarian missions. With this gesture, Hankook reaffirms its commitment to actively support those organisations working on the front lines of assistance to the most fragile people with a focus on safety, mobility and a timely response.

The tyres, which are of the latest generation and designed for high performance, will be mounted on CRI vehicles dedicated to emergency, rescue and medical transport services throughout the country. In fact, the Italian Red Cross has 671 committees and about 1,500 offices distributed throughout Italy. This is a testament to the Association’s capillarity and impact on the region. This is a tangible contribution to support the operational efficiency of those who are on the front line in helping the most vulnerable.

“We are proud to be able to concretely contribute to the mission of the Italian Red Cross. With this donation, we wish to express our support for those who, every day, are dedicatedly committed to the community,” said Jason Soo Lee, Managing Director & Vice President of Hankook Tire Italy.

“I would like to thank Hankook for its focus on the work of the ICRC through this donation. This is an initiative that emphasises the importance of equipment in making all of our population support activities even more effective,” commented Rosario Valastro, president of the Italian Red Cross.

Hankook recognises the importance of efficient mobility for relief organisations, and with this donation, it intends to concretely support the daily activities of the CRI throughout the country.

The donation is part of a larger CSR programme which is active in several European countries and aimed at promoting road safety and supporting local communities.
